Starbase Harvard is hit by a violent galactic storm with violent bit-vectors and gusts of data. News to the base is disrupted, and the main news server is hit by a bit-bolt, disabling its capability to sort out which news it has recieved. As news items swirl around randomly near the starbase, they are sucked in and distributed multiple times, causing massive amounts of paper to float around the base.
